Oriental Theological College is sponsored and run by the United Sangtam Baptsit Churches Association, which is a constituent member of Nagaland Baptist Church Council. Although it has its own assimilation from Baptist tradition and practices, the institution remains faithful to evangelical faith and practice and is open to all the denominations. The nature and work of the institution exhibits its faithfulness to meeting the needs of the churches and mission particularly that of North east India Context. The college campus was constructed on the lands generously donated by the two neighboring village (Holongba and Sangsomong) towards developmental projects of USBLA. From the campus, one could see the most beautiful view of nature and praise God the Creator. Most of the buildings that are standing tall are constructed with the contributions from USBLA Golden Jubilee Offering, local churches and individuals.
