The women ministry of United Sangtam Baptist Lithroti Ashimükhong (USBLA) known by the name United Sangtam Baptist Khingkurüti Ashimükhong (USBKA) was born on 26th of November, 1960. This formation aims to empower women leading them towards Christian Maturity. Hence, the ministry have “Matured Christian Women” as its Motto.

Before the arrival of Christianity, the women folk were treated as a commodity or income generating source (dowry in marriage) for the family. They were deprived of education, status and other privileges in the society. However after the arrival of Christianity, women began to acquire knowledge through learning opportunities. But the old tradition, cultural beliefs and practices was inherent in the families and society. Therefore, in order to liberate women through faith in Christ the pioneers seek to have separate women ministry under the umbrella of general ministry which was successfully accomplished after 42 years.

And today the USBKA is growing towards Maturity in Faith, Love and Hope as climbs up to 59th year of its establishment. USBKA Ministry started off with four women of great faith with 15 Board Members. And as it journey through 59 years of growing towards maturity, it is now 3 fulltime staff and 30 Board Members with 14,000/- approx Baptized members. There are 78 churches and 10 Fellowships under USBLA and the women ministry is playing the role of a facilitator and a guide in the life of women with her vision to living a life of integrity leading towards maturity.
